Household Cleaning Tips

I’ll be honest – nothing is better than having a home that is neat and tidy. There is something about a clean home that makes you feel great. As they say – “The more the mess, the more the stress.” Unfortunately, not everyone always has the time available to put towards keeping up with their house, making it easy to fall behind. Luckily, there are ways to help prevent that, allowing you to keep your home clean around the clock.

Household Cleaning Tips for the Busy Bee
For most people, cleaning is the last thing on their mind. With the busy schedules they carry, keeping a clean house can be a challenge. Still, it is possible. With that said, take a look below at a few household cleaning tips that help those busy bee’s keep their schedules intact and keep their house clean, too!

A Little Goes a Long Way
One of my favorite household cleaning tips is that a little work goes a long way. The concept is simple – do your household cleaning little by little each day. In other words, rather than choosing one day of the week (or month) to dedicate entirely to catching up on your cleaning, dedicate a few minutes each day instead.

For example, rather than doing 7 loads of laundry at once, do one load each day. Instead of letting the dishes pile up in the sink, do them as you go. Are you starting to see a pattern here? The key is to take a few minutes out to tackle your cleaning now rather than later. Trust me – this method works!

Home Remedies Work Wonders
Believe it or not, there are several home remedies for cleaning available that work better than most commercial cleaners. Home remedies are incredible money savers, as they usually cost pennies (unlike the commercial cleaners that can be costly over time). Plus, you won’t have to deal with any harmful chemicals or side effects that these chemicals can produce, yet you will be able to achieve the same results.

What types of home remedies are available that can help you keep a clean home, you ask? Baking soda has a variety of uses (deodorizer, carpet cleaner and stain remover). White vinegar is also a wonderful cleaning solution when mixed together with water. Works great on cleaning hardwood flooring, as well as for cleaning stains in carpet, upholstery and more.
